Total Poser is a very thoroughly instructed version of the kind of asana practice that Southern California has come to be known for. As in all our classes, the instructors are highly skilled at teaching individuals within a group. What makes Total Poser different from our other classes is that it’s always well-rounded in terms of strength versus openness, heating versus cooling, and work versus release. And it always builds to some kind of peak- whether it’s learning a new pose, refining an old one, or working to open or strengthen a particular body part. And it always has a nice slow decline to a satisfying and well-earned savasana.
If you’re new to yoga, you will benefit from taking a few Foundations classes before trying Total Poser. But, once you know your way around the concepts taught in Foundations, give this class a try. Options are given so you can suit the practice to your skills and abilities. You’ll move every part of your body into its fullest range of motion by sequentially focusing on clear, healthy, shape-shifting actions. Thoroughly instructed, this class will break down the essential poses so you can move safely, effectively and deeply into more advanced postures.
And while the instruction and practice always come first, this class includes music.
